How to Get the Most Out of Your Outdoor Entertainment System

Outdoor Entertainment Spaces Need More Than TVs and Speakers

Outdoor entertainment systems are one of our most popular solutions as clients look for ways to make their time outside more fun. When they first contact us, they usually inquire about installing outdoor audio and TV displays. Finding the right speakers and televisions is important, but much more goes into a successful outdoor entertainment space. As you read this blog, you'll learn the features that differentiate our installations from others in the Edinburg, TX, area.

Audio Reinforcements

Let's start with your audio system; we are an AV company, after all. While speakers are a great start, there are additional components we recommend for a truly immersive outdoor sound system. First, we typically add outdoor amplifiers buried underground. Having these closer to the speakers makes it easier to relay a crisp, powerful signal from indoor sources. Second, we recommend adding subwoofers, whether above or below ground. These will add bass and give your sound greater depth; plus, you'll literally feel the music as you turn up the volume.

Landscape Lighting

What good are excellent audio and video if you only enjoy them during the daytime? As part of our outdoor entertainment systems, we incorporate landscape lighting. Have exterior fixtures turn on automatically once the sun sets to keep the party going all night. Don't just add a few wall-mounted fixtures and tiki torches. You need a well-rounded lighting design for optimal results, including niche, bullet, and path lights. The result is not only a more beautiful home but one that is safer for family and guests.

Outdoor Shades

The weather in southeast Texas quickly becomes unbearable once the summer hits. We recommend outdoor shades to create a four-season room on your patio. On your command, the shades lower and seal tight to keep out the heat–and pests–so you can still enjoy your entertainment system even as the temperatures approach the triple digits. These are also great for getting the glare out of your eyes during the brightest times of the day.

Integrated Control

Finally, it's time to bring it all together. Even the best outdoor entertainment system will only be used if it's easy to manage. Take advantage of home automation that places your speakers, displays, lights, shades, and more under one umbrella. From a mobile app or touchpad, you can pull up content from any indoor sources, lower the shades and even unlock the front door to let in any late arrivals. You'll also be able to activate lights based on schedules or sensors to ensure no one is ever left in the dark.

Our outdoor entertainment solutions let you enjoy the beautiful Texas weather in new ways. Optimize your spaces with top-of-the-line AV, lighting, shading, and control. Schedule a consultation with our expert team by calling or filling out our contact form.
